My books arrived today - great I've got lots of reading to do! But many thanks for the grocery bag they were wrapped in - we use plastic carriers in UK - it provoked a great deal of discussion re: the environment and pulling out maps to look at where co-op stores are located, differences between America & UK. It is now a prized possession in my daughters bedroom!

I also just ordered the 1st Grade sylabus from Christopherus and am eagerly awaiting their arrival. In South Africa, we use a type of re-usable nylon bag for shopping. Although the supermarkets provide plastic ones, you do have to buy them! Enjoy your reading

This is too funny! I haven't yet gotten around to telling my son - he helps us with some office work and he often complains that our use of bags from the coOp is "unprofessional" (though he appreciates the recycling angle!). I will tell him that one of our bags is now a treasure in a little girl's bedroom back in England - he'll get a kick out of that!

Well not strictly Waldorf, but prompted a great geography hour looking at which states have a coop and where various families on the forum live around the world. Please pass onto your son the bag is also going to grandad's tomorrow to show him as well!!
