Study on Child Development

We've not yet finished the study I have been leading on the forum about the 12 senses, but I wanted to give advance warning of our next study!

I would like to read and discuss Understanding Imitation through a Deeper Look at Human Development by Joop van Dam, a Dutch doctor and anthroposophist.

This is a nice short article, not hard to follow, not intimidating in the least - and really good especially to those of you who are new to Waldorf Early Childhood (though I think oldies will get a lot from it as well). Please encourage all friends and fellow Waldorf-ers to join us for this important study starting Monday 4 February on the Waldorf Philosophy and Anthroposophy sub forum.

I'd like to also let you all know about the study which will follow the one on imitation which we'll be starting on 4 February (see my post preceding this one).

The March study, beginning 3 March will be on an article by Caroline von Heydebrand, one of the grand old dames of Waldorf education. The language is a bit olde fashioned but she makes so many brilliant points about education as a healing force that I think it is worth it! Here is the link to the article:

hi donna. i am just learning that you have these forum classes, but i am confused as to where they are? are they all in one place? or in their own categories? would i know from the heading that the thread is a class?

There are no classes - just a study that anyone can participate in. All you have to do is go to the Waldorf Philosophy and Anthroposophy sub forum.
