I am currently staying in Asia. And I am planning to homeschool my kid.

Last few days, i was spending all my time surfing online, to check for Waldorf Education. I found this website, and i feel it is what I am searching for.

My kid is 6.5 year old, i am planning to start grade 1 for him. But i am a little worry, that the 2nd grade(complete curriculum like grade 1), is not ready yet. Will it confirm to be ready at summer 08?

Secondly, the COMPLETE curriculum for High School will be available after next 5 years or the curriculum will be stop at 8th grade??

third, if for some reason , I have to send my kid back to normal school, can I get a transcript from Christopherus homeschooling resource??

I can't answer the question about the transcript but the curriculum for the lower grades will certainly be ready in time for your child (lucky you! my kids are older). Second grade is mostly done already, the various parts are already published (Saints, Animal Stories, Second Grade Math, etc.) it has not been packaged as a curriculum yet but it will be before you need it. I used the First Grade curriculum last year and I HIGHLY recommend it.

Welcome and good luck,

Hi Lisa,

When we buy the complete package of curriculum for grade 1 ( including joyful movement ,form drawing, language art .... and so on ) , do we have to pay for the consultant fee at the same time??

OR we can try to follow the books , when we face some difficulties and feel consulting really needed, then we pay for a year long consultant package?

Can you give me some advice ??

As far as I know curriculum materials and consulting are completely separate. However with Donna's busy schedule, if you are fairly certain that you will want some consulting, you are probably best off arranging that in advance. That being said, many people find their path with homeschooling without any consulting. What is your level of familiarity with homeschooling and with Waldorf? What is your day-to-day life like with your son right now? Are you planning on joining the forum? These are some things to consider.

Hi Lisa,

My son was sent to a kindergarten which apply Waldorf education. Then because we were moving to a new place, we have sent him to a normal kindergarten and quit from there when we understand that he is not really happy there.

For homeschooling, i am a totally newbie. I have never know what is homeschool . Then decision to homeschool my son is a big challenge for me. i am worry about everything... i am worry that i will not be patient enough, i am worry that i am not qualify to teach my son..... for everything.

The daily activities... hmm.... we are growing our own vegetables, own fruits..... piano , art..... he will plays his LEGO, puzzle.... watch TV around an hour per day ( normally i watch the DVD cartoon first then consider he is suitable for that or not )... and for course, i read story for him everyday. and encyclopedia.

when i starts to homeschool my son, I will sure join this forum.
