hi donna. i read the announcement for the forum for waldorf philosophy and am wondering how much familiarity one needs with anthroposophy to join in the discussion - is what is on this forum enough exposure?

basically i am wondering if it is appropriate for me to join discussions on that forum if my only exposure to anthroposophy is from this forum and a bit here and there from studying waldorf philosophies.

Hi Shireen,

When we created the forum it was in the aftermath of my old yahoo group which had more than 2,000 m,embers. It was really hard there to stay focused during conversations - and some things just went round and round and round. One thing that was wearying was constantly having to explain anthropsophical terminology and concepts in the middle of discussions....

So when we set up the Waldorf Philosophy and Anthroposophy sub forum I had this in mind and thus created boundaries.

However, everyone is so thoughtful on our forum and the calibre of the conversations has been so high - whether people are brand new to Waldorf and anthroposophy or not - that I think I should remove that message that says one has to know a bit about anthroposophy before posting!

So, Shireen - please feel free to join in! And do ask away if you are so inclined - the forum is not so busy that we can't spend time working closely on all sorts of questions. It seems to me we have hit just the right balance.
