What is the difference between "Drawing with your 4- to 11-year-old" and "Form Drawing for Beginners?"

Hi Grace,

The drawing book is a very simple and basic guide to how drawing progresses through kindergarten and the first 5 grades in Waldorf education. There is guidance about crayons and colored pencils, and about the the rather different way that Waldorf people draw than do others (it is a process of building up pictures rather than outlining - this almost guarantees success for both parent and child!).

Form drawing, on the other hand, is a specific therapeutic art found only in Waldorf education. It is worked with from first grade onwards and helps orientate the child in her own body and in relation to space. Our form drawing book is a step by step guide to working with this incredibly important part of Waldorf education, from first through third grade.
