(steam hissing out of my ears because this is the second time I have needed to write this as, when checking a link, I lost what I wrote at first....grrrr).

(OK - calm down....)

So, first off, thank you to those who responded to my requests about figuring out what to study on this Forum. I think I shall proceed as outlined. And lurkers, no need to be apologetic - you are as welcome here as those who post and respond all the time!

The new article to read is called "Balance in Living: Saying Goodbye to the Martyr in Us" by Rosa Barocio, an ex-Waldorf teacher. I wanted to give you all the direct link, but I couldn't get my computer to cooperate and open the pdf file... (more growls).... so I will give you the link to the online Waldorf library - then you'll have to put it into their search. Either do it by name or click "development of the teacher" and "articles" on their big search thing. I'm sure you'll get there one way or another!

It's actually not an article I'm 100% keen on - and in many ways it does not pertain to us as homeschoolers as it is for Waldorf teachers suffering from burnout in Waldorf schools. But I thought that if we all translate what she is saying to the danger of burnout as parents/mothers and as homeschoolers, that then there'd be plenty to talk about!

So let's read it for this Tuesday, 5 December. That gives everyone the weekend and Monday to read it - and it's very short and straightforward - much easier than the article by Craig Holdrege. www.waldorflibrary.org

Let's put this conversation in the Personal Development sub Forum. I'll kick off first - unless someone beats me to it!

Happy Reading!
