Dear All,
Just a reminder that we will be beginning our conversation based round the 12 senses starting 29 October. I will lead this (as usual) but don't have any specific articles to be read - I couldn't find any I really liked. And though the Albert Soesman book on this topic is the book to read, I know it doesn't always work to do book studies - people are busy, books are expensive, children get ill.. etc etc.
So I will head off by writing about different aspects of the 12 senses and the conversation can follow on from there. I will probably quote lots of excerpts from that book anyway!
The 12 Senses are part of the groundwork to an anthroposophical understanding of the human being. They are the windows to experience - to how the child - and adult - takes in the world, reacts to it and then moves forward. There are deep therapeutic lessons to be learned from a study of the 12 senses and such knowledge is important to anyone who wishes to work in a healing way with their child. And if yours is a child with an issue or a challenge of some kind, then working with the 12 senses can bring a profound understanding of that challenge and of how your child experiences the world.
Please join us!
