Well... it feels like winter where I am! 21F at night and a nice hard frost in the morning...
So... we will start with our conversations on the Twelve Senses starting next Monday - I could not find an article that I liked on-line for this to share with everyone, so I will just take excerpts from books I've read and give a full picture of my own understanding of this topic. I thought we would spend a month plus on this...
I would also like to encourage people during that time and into January to share thoughts and ideas about festivals - there are many coming! Channukah, Solstice, Advent, Christmas, Epiphany/Three Kings, Chinese New Year, Kwanzaa - please share! Let's work with this either in the Waldorf Home sub forum or in Personal Development if it is that kind of sharing...
So that will see us into early January.
Then I would like to devote some time to a two-part article by Michael Howard, a Waldorf teacher, on "Educating the Will" - a perennially important topic. There is a very interesting two part article which we can work with. Part one is here:http://www.waldorflibrary.org/Journal_Articles/RB7103.pdf
And part two: http://www.waldorflibrary.org/Journal_Articles/RIbulletinjune2002.pdf
Then I am thinking of tackling a book by Steiner some time in the spring (let's see how we get on with these). A number of his books are online so people would not have to buy the book if they couldn't manage. I am thinking about Practical Advice to Teachers - but am open to suggestions.
